• Grants replaced by the Green Energy Cashback Scheme
• Generous tax-free payments available under the Feed-in Tariff
• ACT NOW - tariff payments are under review for the end of March 2012
There are a number of sources available, the most interesting of which is the Feed-in Tariff (FIT). The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) has been confirmed and started on the 1st August 2011. These incentives replace previous Government grants and are known as ‘The Clean Energy Cashback Scheme.’
Key points and how you profit
1 The scheme pays you for each kWh of electricity produced whether you use it or not.
2 An additional premium is paid for each unit exported back to the grid.
3 Substantial savings are made by avoiding constantly rising energy costs.
So, you:
- get paid for the electricity you use;
- get paid for the electricity you don't use;
- protect yourself against the cost of constantly increasing energy.
We cannot emphasise enough that the scheme pays you for the electricity you generate even if you use it all yourself. You actually get paid for using your own, free, clean electricity. Too good to be true? It isn't! It is a genuinely excellent incentive designed to encourage us all to switch to greener energy.
The new feed-in Tariff drastically improved the payback time on sustainable energy solutions. Payments are guaranteed for up to 25 years, tax free and index-linked (protected against inflation).
Important: Your Solar PV system must be installed by a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certificated installer for you to qualify for the scheme benefits. Ambervert is fully MCS certificated and approved.
