• Use natural warmth in the air for heating
• Save money on energy bills
• Reduce your carbon footprint
There is ambient warmth in the air around your property. This warmth can be used to heat your property, provide hot water, reduce your energy bills and cut your carbon footprint. Grants are available to help you with the installation costs - see our Government Grants page for more details.
To benefit from the energy in this warm air, you need an Air Source Pump. As its name suggests, it pumps heat from the air outside into your property. The system can extract heat from the air even when the outside temperature is as low as minus 15° C.
Air Source Heat Pumps have minimal impact on the environment. Although they need electricity to run, the heat they extract from the air is constantly being renewed naturally and helps offset the energy you use from your regular supplier.
Broadly speaking, Air Source Heat Pumps come in two types:
• Air to Air, used to provide warm air heating via fans
• Air to Water, used to heat water for taps or radiators
Are they suitable for my property?
The answer depends on the type and location of your property. As specialist Air Source Heat Pump installers we would be delighted to give you free, professional advice about whether you can benefit from a such a system.
